ID on a skiddish bird in Albuquerque?

They caught my attention because I generally only see them in this one particular part of town, and their short, wedge-shaped tails seem unusual for this area, at least to me.

Thanks again! Now, if I could only fix up my profile, I'd be in business. I gather from the FAQ that I can't until I turn out not to be a spambot?

I commend you for reading the FAQ, many new members don't look through it and become confused.

Thanks for the welcome and the information! I'm a big fan of birds, but can't even make claims of being an amateur birdwatcher just yet. It looks like you guys have an awesome community here, and I'm looking forward to being part of it.
