Grebe Help

I'm pretty sure this is an Eared Grebe with that thin bill

Not so sure if this is a Horned Grebe or not. Bill looks thicker and almost double-edged.

Edit: Forgot to mention that these pictures were taken near Mountain View, CA by fellow Whatbirder Snick on our outing a few days back.

Agree -- also notice the difference in head shape. That will show up at distances where it's hard to see the bill shape.
