I'm not very familiar with many types of gulls. These were all taken the last week of September along the north shore of Lake Huron.

Herring Gull -- 1 and 3 are adult birds just into their winter plumage (distinguishable by the streaks on the neck), 2 is a 1st cycle. (Herring's have a very protracted molt out of their juvenile plumage, and most of the next few molts are quite lengthy as well, so it's frequently impossible to distinguish exactly which plumage they're in.)
