A fledgling Robin?

I'm familiar with Robins with their orange chests. I suspect this is a fledgling, and a male at that?

Yup, definitely a Robin! Love the picture as always!!

Not a fledgling, just an immature molting towards adult plumage. Not sure you can definitively sex that at this age, either.

Thanks guys.
It's funny how I learned (now retired, from Engineering!) thermodynamics and physics and all kinds of maths, yet am 'challenged' when it comes to birds!
I so appreciate the input and it really adds to my enjoyment of bird photography.

Thank you very much.
The larger and more flamboyant birds are very admirable, but I get great joy and satisfaction along the way from obtaining good photos of the more common birds like Robins and Doves and Grackles!
