My 7 year old spotted it while he was in an unhandy location. I hate when that happens because I've been in the same situation wishing I had the camera. But this time the bird stayed long enough for him to yell that there's a strange bird and I was able to get some pictures.

Could this be a Hermit Thrush? I don't see the "spectacles" of the Swainson's. The 2nd picture is pretty bad, but I put it on here in case it would help with the ID. I also have some back pictures if you need them.

Coolest: Lesser Yellowlegs (This bird was terribly lost during our May snow, we are near no shore for this shorebird)

Definitely a Hermit Thrush! That reddish tail is diagnostic!

Thanks so much. I was just thinking earlier today how we've not seen anything new for awhile.
