Dead Bird Warning (possibly a Robin)

I saw this today in the front of my house in NJ. I am thinking it is a first or second year American Robin.

Not a robin, but another species of thrush - not sure which one. Do you have any pics of the back? BTW, I think robins get their adult plumage their first fall.

Those spectacles make this look like Swainson's.

I was just about to say that. Swainson's for me too.

Yep. Swainson's Thrush. I mentioned in another thread a few weeks back how I seem to find many of these dead in the mountains here during migration.

What's worse than that is finding them too weak to eat, barely alive, and nothing you can do for them.
