Alright, had an AWESOME time out birding, I think I got nine lifers. . . Was out for five hours birding. I owe y'u one mom. :)

Two lifers here. . . Black-necked Stilt and a Whimbrel? Maybe a Long-billed Curlew. It had a strong facial pattern and a somewhat short bill. (also size compared to other birds)

This is a Long-billed Curlew. . . just looking for a confirmation.

Agree, definitely Long-billed Curlew and Black-necked Stilts. IMO I agree that the first is a Whimbrel.

Looks like you got all of them!

Edit: I hadn't seen those last two, the first one is correct, the last one is a Red Knot -- a Dunlin will have a much longer bill with a distinct curve to it, and won't show the streaking below or the barring on the rump.

Your grebe looks Eared based off of head shape and dark auriculars, but I agree with Marbled Godwit.

I'm not convinced that first one's an Eared, actually -- the auriculars look white, as does the front of the neck, and he swims more like a Horned.

Agree with the last one -- clearly a Horned.

Famosa Slough for the Stilts and Whimbrel, and Mission Beach Park for the rest.

Horned Grebes are rare for Mission Beach, we sure on the ID?

Eeeh, Liam said it was in chat, so. . .
