I have no idea what this bird is. These were taken just outside the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge in Northern Utah on Oct 1st. There were a pair. It was hard to catch any photo, so I've put a couple of different angles.

wow, lucky you, I wish I could see one of these, they are in my summer range(I live in Toronto, Ontario and have a cottage in Port Severn, Ontario)
