Taken today in Colorado Eastern Plains. I'm pretty sure the forward bird is a Tree Sparrow but the bird in the backyard looks different. Is it also a Tree Sparrow or something else?

I don't see any stripes on the background bird. Just shadows from the branches. The sun was in my eyes when I took the shot so my field id is nadda!

Just putting this up here for comparison purposes. I'm just not seeing White-crowned Sparrow. Junco I can kind of see. But the dark spots on the head of the background bird are shadows. I suppose the shadows may be erasing the stripes espicially if it is first year White-crowned. Ohh! The markings on the back look like White-crowned. Okay I see where you all are getting White-crowned. Thanks! And your patience as I work this out is awesome thanks! Oh man now looking at the back again I'm more incline to say they are both Tree Sparrows. I hate iding Sparrows

Sorry, Clip, I don't see any shadows on the crown. The white there is brighter than anywhere on the back -- I can't see that as anything other than an adult White-crowned. You can also see the brown streaks on the back and the dotted white wingbars.
