Hard to say, although the shape and color of the streaks are making me think Sharp-shinned.

Agreed, the breast streaking looks better for a Sharpie. Nothing on the bird screams Cooper's to me (legs look pretty thin, head looks small) but I can't make much of the expression or tail shape.

Unfortunately only got a few pictures before it flew off the far away pole...but I MIGHT have one flying that MIGHT have the tail. Will get it cropped and uploaded later tonight if I do. I know I initially thought Cooper's due to being thin and streaky but upon looking at the shots I have my doubts. Would be very, very cool if it was a Sharpie. Would be a lifer.

Grrr, realized I forgot to post the second picture I uploaded that shows the profile more. Updated the top post, and will show and tell it here too if it helps:

Folkeye, I think that lightening these photos might bring out more details in the face.

I'll give it a try later tonight (unless some super kind person has free time and wants to take on the task :D )

Ok. Here's the two pictures lightened. I hope this helps. I think the second picture, if you zoom in, shows the Sharpie bug-eyed look.

Folkeye, could you, at a later time, move these images to your Flickr photostream and then repost them? That way I can delete them from my photostream, but the post will remain intact.

Edit: Lightened pictures were moved to original post

I'm not able to download them from your stream...says the downloading is disabled. I could always PM you my e-mail and we can do it that way too.

No problem. Hope you can get a definitive ID. Have you tried dragging the photo from Whatbird right onto your desktop? That's how I got your photos. If that doesn't work we'll try the email.

Huh, might be an operating system thing. I'm using a Mac. Not sure what Folkeye has. So you tried dragging a picture to your desktop and it didn't work?

PC w/ Windows 7. Pretty white-bread. Yeah--no dice.

So it's probably not my OS. Which leaves--me.

Not sure why. I tried it with random pictures on the forum and they all worked. I was thinking that maybe it only works with certain photos. I wish I could be more helpful.

OH, hey, thanks for putting up with me this far! :D I'll muddle along somehow. Was just hoping I'd learned a handy trick.
