Just saw this guy outside our classroom window. Kids are arguing about Coopers or Sharp Shinned. Any Ideas. Taken in Columbus Ohio.

Cooper's, due to the "dark cap" on the head. If this was a Sharp-shinned, the back of the head/neck would look dark, giving the bird a "hooded" appearance.

Yep, pretty certain this one is a Coop.

We have had Coopers and Red Tails getting closer and closer to the feeders. Will be a nice "circle of life" discussion one day.
