Today I went under the oak canopy, and sat on a log in a small clearing by a tiny spring fed brook. Within minutes of stillness, a few birds came within camera range, a couple has already been ID'ed in separate threads. Here's three more; photos taken in Vallejo, CA.

Nuttall's Woodpecker? Movement in the thicket caught my eye, this tiny bird was well hidden:

Golden crowned sparrow?

This Western Bluebird (I assume, unless corrected) was talking with its mouth full, and dropped some food.

For the bluebird, it could be coughing up a pellet, insect eaters do that just like owls, to get rid of the pieces they can't digest. Or, it could have dropped some berries, it's hard to tell.

In my defense, spellcheck though that my typing was correct, and who am I to argue..
