I have looked for a couple of hours and I cannot find out what type of bird this is. I have seen many listed that were close but not a perfect match.

He is just as happy hanging out in the barn. He seems fairly friendly.
thanks

What you have here is a Yellow-headed Blackbird. I especially like this bird because of its striking combination of colors. You generally find them around marshes where they nest in cattails with Red-winged Blackbirds. Most of the time they hang out in large groups, so it seems fairly unusual to find one by itself. In a few months time, they molt into their winter plumage which is less colorful, so you're lucky to see this one now when it's still so beautiful!
Thanks for your question and for the photo.
