    Rufous Sided Towhee

    Hi everyone/anyone,

I have the IBird South and it appears that the Rufous Sided Towhee is not in the bird selections. I live in South Carolina and I've seen this bird many times in our area. Any known reasons for this exclusion?

Look under Eastern Towhee. The name was changed from Rufous-sided to Eastern, for whatever reason?!!

Rufous sided was split into Eastern and Spotted. We have Spotted in the west, you have Eastern in the east and I guess they're known to get together where the ranges overlap.

Newest bird: Slate-colored Fox Sparrow, seen during the Portal, AZ CBC

Good point, jmmoon. I forgot to include the Spotted as a former member of Rufous-sided.
