    Female Northern Pintail ???

    Is this a female Northern Pintail. Taken at Basque Del Apache in New Mexico. This bird was a long way off. Taken with a Nikon D200, Nikon 300mm AFS 2.8 lens with a Kenko 1.4 teleconverter. 1/1000, f4, ISO 640

    Thanks for the ID and the compliments on the photo. Even a blind squirrel gets lucky every once in a while.
