Those little terns are adorable!!  Especially the first picture when mom is feeding him a fish!  Great shots.

    Thanks so much!

The baby Pileated with mama feeding him was such a HOOT!  She would just mow on the suet, then go stuff it down his little (er...BIG...beak)... They never pose when the lighting is right!

Mama (and maybe youngster....since I think they look alike now) still come to the suet 3-4 times a day.  I've seen Daddy perched up in the trees overseeing everything.  He won't come down to the feeder tho.

Cute is right!  I really missed out on the babies this year, as I didn't start going to the wildlife reserves and sanctuaries where some of the water/shore-birds breed until around June, and by then it was too late.  The wetlands in my area have a tree with a Great Blue nest, and I guess every year there are babies - gotta get pics next spring!

I totally missed the Great Blue nest at Orlando Wetlands (practically in my back yard!).  Some other folks at Orange Audubon got some great shots of the little one.

Well, OK, I didn't totally miss it, but I had no idea what it was until later...
