Re: Post your interesting combo photos....

here is one that i took yesterday.  speckled-belly goose and glossy ibises in background.  this SB goose was injured, and i assume that is why it is still around (south La), thousands of miles from where it should be this time of year.  its mate flew off before i could include it in the photo (~200yds).  its amazing that the mate, while capable of flight, stayed back in wintering territory with this bird while all of their other fellow migrants are far off in the north in breeding range.  a clear sign of the power of pair bonds in some birds.

We have a large bird of paradise plant in our yard and the 'flowers' attract quite a few birds.  Just happened to have my camera on me when the northern cardinal and spot-breasted oriole decided to visit.  Dramatic colors on both.

Another great shot as always, Lyceel - how long have you been photographing birds?  Just wondering as you really seem to have a knack for it

I have really enjoyed this thread. Here is another one of mune. The photo is weak but it shows a pair of Turkey Vultures, a Crested Caracara, and a White Tailed Hawk. I am open to other opinions on the hawk but am confident it is a white tailed. Other birds were waiting nearby waiting for the big boys to finish. I don't know what they were eating but I am sure it smelled bad.
