Through the years of birding, I have learned never to trust the impression of size on a bird, as it is often wrong. I still don't see how this bird can be an EC Dove, the wings are much to long and narrow. I still am sticking with Western Kingbird, I don't think the solid black tail is a trick of the lighting, take a look at this and also this. Note how very similar the coloring is on the birds compared to your photo, I think it's a perfect match.
It could just be me, maybe we should get some other opinions?
