    A few days ago, I saw two male downys.  One feeding the other.  It was definitely attention grabbing, since usually when I see two males in the same area they are chasing eachother away.  In this situation, it was pretty clear it was a daddy and junior.

     Maybe the suet is ant flavored.  I have a pileated that comes to tear apart the stumps around my yard.  Makes me want to keep the stumps around a little longer even though they aren't very attractive. 

     Cool pics of the pileateds!  That would be so awesome to witness!!
