I would agree.....I was just looking at some American Coots the other day. I think they are really cool too. I wonder what makes us attracted automatically to certain birds and animal?!
If you do a search on google and end up in their image pics, you may see the bird. I find that when I do a search also that the colorations of various birds may show up differently in real life pics than on sketches in books and reference guides.
