Here is how you can attach a photo to your message. The other way to show a photo is to upload it to the Gallery and past the link in your message.
Assuming you are in the forum Help me Identify a Bird and have joined (registered).
Click the New Post button
You will get page that is called Post a New Message
Type your subject in the Subject box and your message in the Message box, You can use the font controls, bold, underline and so on to control how the text looks. This area is located under the Compose tab which is the tab the page defaults to.
After your message has been typed, click the Options tab to the right of the Compose tab.
Click the Add/Update button under File Attachement. A small dialog box will open.
If the photo or image you wish to upload is on your hard disk, click button called Upload File and then the Browse button, and then using the File Open dialog box find the photo on your computer you wish to upload. Once you find the file select it and click the Open button in the dialog box.
If the photo or image you wish to upload is a link then click the small Link to URL and paste the link in the text box to the right. This will work if the photo is on another server like Flickr.
Regardless of whether your browsed for the file up pasted a link to it, when you are back in the Upload File dialog box scroll down and click the Save button. The photo or image is now attached to your message. Note that the Preview tab does not always work correctly. However after you post your message and image you can come back and edit it if you are unhappy with the way it looks.
Now click the Post button at the bottom of the page and you are done.
At the very top of the message, in the gray title area, you should see the name of your image file under the title, for example:
Orange Bishop in Florida
Attachment: Orange1.jpg
The image will be located at the end of the text in your message. If you don't like the way it looks or wish change your text click the Moderate button, then select Edit Post. You will have to upload your image again.
