    Re: Sound

Well, I finally figured it out and it has nothing to do with iBird Pro - I tried listening with my earphones and the bird calls are there - now I just have to figure out why my iPhone isn't putting them through the speaker system.  Whew!

Thats okay - so far every single support problem with sound has been owner confusion, broken headphones or speakers, and rarely an install issue. Usually the first thing that happens is the customer blaims us, but we are so used to it, we see its just a normal reaction to frustration. Its nice when some like yourself comes back and explains what happened. So thanks.

search/browse conceptual confusion; a few bugs; feature suggestions

I moved this post into its own thread in the forum, not a reply to the initial post.  But I can't delete this copy, just edit it.

Can someone PM me the easter egg that's supposed to be on iBird Pro?

     Thanks

    Re: Talk about iBird PRO

Could you make it iBird Europe, rather than UK? (or Western Palearctic)? Anyway, once you had UK you're nearly all the way there...

I live in Norway, and bird around Europe. Am sure you must get numerous requests for a Europe version, and great numbers of people would buy it. I see there is a string on this, though no responses yet.

I got iBird Pro simply for the info I could find on North American species that show up here; and in case I get to NA one of these days...

Could you get iBird Pro to use your current location in the search routine? Perhaps you could add Europe and other locations in among the States and Provinces so we can limit a search among species that occur here? Or allow us to add a personalized search criteria? (such as from a Notes field: if we wrote in the species that occur in Europe or some such place, we could search for that)...   Anyway, an iBird Europe would be a great hit.

BTW, there are 2 typos in the Flickr help window... (addtional and sceintific)...

    Re: Talk about iBird PRO

I agree with WildTurkey, i.e., would really enjoy seeing an iBird Europe version.

My wife and I often bird in Europe, specifically Denmark (she's Danish) and Sicily (where I have family). This past fall we spent a week on the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast (wonderful birding area) for the fall migration. Sadly(?), the weather was much too warm and sunny for a full-blown migration, but still we added many new birds to our list. An iBirdEurope would have been a great help.

    Nonetheless, thanks for iBirds available.
