    Nuttall's Woodpeckers. I was looking through some old photos and ran across these. Not the best of shots, but a pair none-the-less.

    We did not inherit Mother Earth from our ancestors...... we have borrowed Her from our descendants.

    VERY sweet bluebird photo!

    Pair of Mallards from this past Spring.  Dad looks somewhat surprised at Mom's "display"!

    Nice Western Bluebird shot!  I've never seen the male and female together in one picture.

    Thanks, Curlybird. That shot was taken in the Spring of this year. If you look close you can see a twig in the females beak. They were nest building in a hollow limb. The male helped a bit, but mostly he seemed to be standing guard.

    Yeah, I see that now; I just thought it was a snack she had in her beak.  I can never get any good pics of Western Bluebirds.  They never let me get close enough before they take off!  I did, however, get a pretty good shot of a juvenile WB, in a tree outside my office a few mos. ago.

    Those Mallards were up to no good.

    Here is a pair of Red-tails.  The size difference between female and male is really interesting.

    I prefer Anhingae Wink But those Caracaras! Man, definitely a top of wishlist bird for me, you lucky Florida birders and your Florida birds!
