    Problem Installing on Vista

I really want to try this out on my T-Mobile MDA device...but I can't seem to run the installation on my Vista PC.

I get an error message stating that MS Activesync is not installed.  Well, is that because what used to be called "Activesync" is called "Windows Mobile Device Center" on Vista and the installation program doesn't recognize that?  I sync my Windows Mobile PDA to my Vista PC all the time -- it's in it's cradle now, happily synced, so the installation error message has it wrong.

Any ideas?  I should mention that I'm running the 64-bit version of Vista...could that be the problem?

    Re: Problem Installing on Vista

I may have answered -- or at least come up with a solution -- to my own problem-question.

I tried installing to a different Vista computer, one running the standard 32-bit version, and it installed fine.  So, maybe the 64-bit version of Vista is a problem for the install.

Anyway, running on my WM PDA is quite cool!  Looking forward to the full version.  I wouldn't pay $100...maybe $50...definitely $25.

    Re: Problem Installing on Vista

Mark - you have found the problem - we did not design for the 64 bit version of Vista - though I am surprised that it didnt work since it works on 32 bit Vista. The installer is pretty standard. May I ask why you are using 64 bit Vista over 32 bit. Regarding price I understand you would like to see it cost less but given the years of development and the costs to license the sounds and the cost of the art that would not be feasible. Compared to the Palm Handheld Birds from National Geographic the product is competitively priced and offers a lot more features. So you wont see it for $25 or $50. Thanks for your feedback however.
