    Winged Explorer Errors & Corrections

I just got Winged Explorer and loaded it on my IPAQ 111 without a hitch.  Great piece of software!

I emailed a couple of observations to Mitchell and he suggested that I post my comments in this forum - so here goes ..

    1) I have never seen a Little Blue Heron with feathers ruffled as depicted in the Little Blue Heron identification picture - perhaps I have have never seen one as agitated as this one seems to be.  For identification purposes, it seems like the normal (unruffled) appearance would be more useful.

    2) The Zenaida Dove does not have a sound file attached.  I note that the sound file is present for the Zenaida Dove on the WhatBird site so this appears to be an oversite in the Winged Explorer Software.

Re: Winged Explorer Errors & Corrections

If you saw the photos of this bird you might not think the drawing is so unrealistic.

The sounds on the web site and the sounds on the device are not the same. The sounds on the device are all from one recordist and of high quality. We did not feel the Zenida Dove recording was good enough for Winged Explorer.

Thanks for you nice comments Brad
