Not always seeing the photos...

I'm confused. On some posts I can see the poster's photos and on some I see nothing but their text, yet other folks respond with id on these photos I can not see. What am I missing? Driving me bananas!

Oh, some posts people do not mention the photo is in their gallery, on those threads all you have to do is click on the username and then click recent posts and the photo should be in there, if it is recent enough.
