    orange/black feather ID

    Attachment: feather.jpg

Hi, can anybody help me identify what bird the tan feather with the orange and black stripe comes from?

The only good photo I could find online of this particular feather was in these earrings. There are several other feathers in the pic...the feather I want to ID is triangular shaped and tipped with orange and black.

Why not take a photo of the actual feather you saw and post that?  I was also thinking of some type of pheasant for the earings you posted.

Actually if you look up pheasant tippets, you'll see your feathers. They are used in fly tying. Generally they are taken from golden pheasants
