Northwestern New Jersey, in the forest (well, on the railroad tracks going through the forest), 2:30 PM, Didn't make any sounds.

I planned to take more pictures, but the rain flushed me out. Maybe if it suns up, I'll go back down.

The streaking on the underside is fairly heavy, but it does give out on the belly, and the end of the tail has a pretty wide white stripe on it.  I'd say Cooper's, but not too big so probably a male.

Is the second photo the same bird as photos 1 and 3?  The second one gives me a strong coopers feel.  The other 2 photos I'm not as certain but I'm also leaning to coopers for the reasons given by Randy.

    Re: Cooper's/Sharp Shinned?

Having seen these pics I'd agree that this is a Cooper's. If this is the same bird as the "silohuette" bird then I was wrong on that one. I said Sharpie for the silohuette .... but these have me being more cofident on Copper's if they are the same bird.
