I'm the worst person to ID a sparrow (or any bird for that matter) but could it be a fox sparrow? We've had a bunch mirgate into the area in the last couple of weeks
The red colour gives a foxy impression, but the streaking on fox is more a string of chevrons than the continuous streaks here. Fox has a pale (yellowish) bill, and the contrast between grey and red on the face is more striking.
That being said I've never seen a song sparrow look so much like a barnyard chicken. It's a bit scary.

p.s. I just remembered, fox sparrows out west look a little different than the eastern here, so some of what I said doesn't apply. (Still a song though)
