On the way home from flying the Harris Hawk, saw this dark phased redtail sitting in a tree. The first picture was taken in the truck in hopes that I wouldn't miss it. Its a little blurry.  Then I stopped the truck and got a little better picture of it flying. The last picture is an immature redtail that was sitting in a tree about 1/4 mile away from the dark phased one.

Great pictures. And to think you took one from a truck? I can't even take that good of a picture standing still under the bird.

Thanks for the compliments on the pictures. I am using a Nikon D200 DSLR camera with a 70-300mm VR lens. Its an awesome camera that I have had for about 2 years now. I have probably shot about 15,000 pictures with it. Every once in a while I get a lucky shot with it.

Really? It seems like every picture is lucky from what I've seen you take!

Well, out of 15,000 pictures taken, I've posted less than 50 pictures. My finger knows where the delete button is at on the computer.

It's so dark it looks like a totally different bird.  Great pics.
