Is this a Great Blue Heron?

Hi, Forum!

I visited Meaher State Park near Mobile, Alabama in February. Marvellous birds! But I had a cheap camera and am a total newbie at bird identification.

Are these blurry photos identifiable? Is this a Great Blue Heron?

Looks pretty good for a Great Blue to me.

I know what you mean about those cameras. There have been so many times would have liked to have taken a picture of a bird but my camera just didn't have what it took. Am in the process of saving for a better one though. I can't wait so I can start posting some good pictures here!

Your heron pics look pretty good to me, though

Oh, yea! Yea! Thanks to everyone for answering so quickly! Friends told me February was a bad time to go bird watching in Alabama. But I saw a Great Blue Heron so I guess the timing was good for me!
