I just looked at a picture of a cedar waxwing - yes, that's what these are. My next question is why would more than 20 of them turn up dead in a corner of my garden in the last 3 days? We have no poison of any kind, not even snail bait. We are heartbroken. West Nile Virus Hotline people took some for testing, but they did not think it was the virus. Vector Control said rat poison would not drop them so quickly all at once.
