Seen today again at my favorite local park in northern Jersey. It was pretty small, about half the size of House Sparrow & jumping around in dense brush on the shore of a small lake. Thinking some type of Flycatcher but stumped. Thanks!

Ruby-crowned Kinglet.

My first thought was either Vireo or Kinglet. After looking closely at the wingbar and coloring, I believe it is a Golden-crowned Kinglet.

You must have meant Ruby-crowned Kinglet. Golden-crowned Kinglet has a black eye stripe, a white supercilium, a black head band, a yellow cap, and no eye-ring.  It really doesn't bear even the slightest resemblance to this bird.

Definitely a Ruby crowned kinglet.
