    Several Hummingbirds in Northern Utah

Just thought I'd drop a line to say that over the last week I've had several hummingbirds at my feeders. Only 4-5 that I've SEEN so far. But THEY'RE HERE!

Our hummer population has dropped off significantly over the last few weeks.  Not sure what the deal is.  I had put two nectar feeders up but finally took one of them down and only put a small amount of nectar in it. (it gets expensive having to pour that stuff out all the time!)      I do still see them sitting on power lines around here but there is so much honeysuckle blooming right now that I guess they prefer natural over homemade.

I got one of those little tube feeders as a mother'd day gift at church and hung it outside my kitchen window and had a male ruby show up at it this morning.  Hopefully they'll come back in full force when the weather gets warmer and stays warm.

I don't know what your weather is like there this spring but our spring has been a good 20 degrees below average...it seems to be effecting a lot of things, like the Cedar Waxwings I saw the other day, normally by now they'd be gone up north, but it's been so cold they probably don't see any reason to go! LOL

I got one of those little feeders too! I am going to put it by my bedroom window....I like to sit in there and read in the early evening and I am hoping they'll "join" me!
