I hung my first hummingbird feeder a few weeks ago, hoping (but not really believing) that I might attract these little miracles.
As I walked past the glass doorway near the feeder this morning, a blur caught my attention: one was hovering inches away from face, checking out the different feeding ports.
I haven't seen a hummingbird since I lived in California 24 years ago. I may as well go back to bed, 'cause the rest of the day will be all downhill from here.
