This morning, my daughter & I watched (what I thought was a new bird,) hop from bush to bush. She was very aware of us, but didn't seem frightened. I got my camera & snapped some shots. Turns out, I think she is a Female Brown-headed Cowbird. In the past I've seen her with her mate, & only 1 other time alone, scoping out a Cardinal's nest, where she laid an egg the next day. In all other cases, she didn't stick around long. Just wanted to double check on her id.

"So many sparrows, so little time!"
