    Mystery Wren

    Attachment: gnatcatcher.jpg
Up here in the Pac Northwest, our bewicks wrens are bright colors.  So when I saw this bird in the Mammoth area of California, it looked like something I never saw before.  Is this just a pale subspecies of a bewicks wren?  Or am I looking at some kind of gnatcatcher?  Thanks for the help...!

No, without a white supercilium it's definitely not a Bewick's Wren.  I'd say House Wren.
