I heard a lot of bird noise on my porch just now so my daughter and I slowly peaked out the door...and there was male/female pair of House Finches...they were on the railing of my porch. The female was just standing still more or less and the male was hopping over her side to side and cocking his head at a very odd angle. This went on for a full minute...I wish I could have gotten a video of it! Then, the female flew down onto one of my planters (has a coconut husk lining) and began to pick pieces of it, she got a beakful and they flew off together.
What is the meaning of that dance! LOL!
