    Hermit thrush?

    Attachment: IMG_2913.jpg
Not sure if anyone can make a definitive ID without seeing the front of the bird, but would this be a hermit thrush?  The front was black and white streaks, not really speckles like some hermit thrush pictures I've seen...

    Re: Hermit thrush?

I would go with Swainson's thrush on this one.

Barredowl is that because of the yellow mustache?

I saw it again this morning, and there's a lot of yellow to its breast.  Would that point towards one or the other?

Looks good to me for Swainson's Thrush.

    2008 Yard List: 118
    Recent: Hooded Warbler, Black-billed Cuckoo
Highlights: Hoary Redpoll, Golden Eagle, Fish Crow
    2008 Year List: 181
    Recent: Alder Flycatcher, Green Heron
Highlights: Cackling Goose, Black Vulture, Merlin

    Re: Hermit thrush?

Yes, a Swainson's Thrush. They have a buffy eyering and a buff face/throat. Also, on a Hermit Thrush the tail would contrast with the rest of the back (slightly more saturated and darker).
