    Avatar?

    Could someone explain "Avatar" to me.  It's uses and how to upload.  I thought it was just the photo picture to identify myself but I uploaded a picture and cannot see anything?  Thanks -

    You are probably doing everything right, but make sure you hit "save" at the bottom.

     Also, it might help to go ahead and make your avatar 79 by 79 pixels or less before you try to upload. I don't know if the site will resize it or not, but when I did mine, I just used paint to make it 79 by 79 and it worked fine.

    Thanks, changing the size AND hitting Save worked.  This Red Tailed Juvenile Hawk landed on my back porch fence, about 4' from my back door and stayed about an hour.

    It's funny how Juvie hawks look so young and fragile, but they are already bigger than most every other normal bird out there.
