I have selected NO on all e-mail choices and notifications; I also checked unsubscribe to the top of my posting and yet I am getting 100 e-mails a day. 

In the help section it says to turn off tracking globally on my profile page but I can't find that option.

I'm obliviously new to this and would appreciate some help - thanks in advance. 

i may get in trouble for this, but how i stopped all the emails was to type in a bogus email address on all spots that asked for an email....if they want to get a hold of you they can post it...this posting will self-distruct in 3 minutes

Mitch, Thank you for the link but I'm just not getting it.  I unchecked everything as in steps 1 & 2, I cannot find the More Options in write a post to make sure it's checked as never.  I am receiving over a hundred e-mails a day.  I have tried opening them and making sure No e-mail replies are checked.  What am I doing wrong? 

well, I'm not Mitch, he is the person who sent me the instructions.  Call me RD. 

Go to Forums and look at the top of the screen for shortcuts.  if you see shortcuts, click forum subscriptions. if you don't see shortcuts at the top right of the page click on a topic, then hit the back buttor and shortcuts will be there. 

Go to Forum subscriptions.

Click on "help me identify a bird"

scroll down to the bottom of the page

you will see "more options"

Click more options

at the bottom you will see Email, hit the down arrow next to the box, click never,

Thats it!

Glad that worked - can you tell me what it was about my example with the three screens that did not communicate what the text instructions did?

The link to the "3 screens instructions" worked great for the first 2 screens but there wasn't an explaination on how to get to the 3rd screen. 

 The text instructions gave instructions to - Go to Forums / Shortcuts / forum subscriptions / "help me identify a bird" ........

And that is where your 3rd screen came in.  I needed the above instructions on how to get to that screen.  Once there, the instructions from your link worked fine.

Mitch, you have different "forums" mainscreens. One of the screens that comes up doesn't show the link to shortcuts.  This screen usually comes up when you click "forums" from the homepage the first time but also shows @ random(?) when moving back and forth from forums to the forums main screen.  It is the screen that shows the pictures on the bottom right instead of the most active users.  I directed Terri to go back an forth between forums and the main forums screen until she saw the shortcuts link.  Once she did that your instructions worked.
