    personal request

The only thing this post has to do with birds is the fact that I'm a birder but I wanted to ask for the thoughts and/or prayers of my birding friends.  I found out Tuesday there is a possibility that my husband of 32 years may have pancreatic cancer.  He had a biopsy done today.  We should find out something for sure on Monday.  I feel like I'm in a dream and waiting to wake up.

    Valleygirl,

I'm so sorry to hear about your husband.  Hopefully the biopsy will come back as something other than pancreatic ca so that it might be more curable. Please let us know what happens (when you have time).  I work in the medical field and went through breast cancer 18 years ago and I'm convinced that the power of prayers and positive thinking can sometimes help.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your husband.  Good Luck!

    Nancy

    Re: personal request

I don't pray, but I am so sorry you are dealing with this...this is so frightening. If you ever need an anonomous ear I am always around. Sometimes talking to a stranger can help, sometimes just talking can sort emotions. And I am always around for you.

    I am so sorry.

    Re: personal request

Prayers for sure. You never know what the Lord has in store for us. I'm a 5 time cancer survivor--thymus, lung, thyroid, lymph nodes/saliva glands, and pancreas. Modern medicine and the power of prayer do wonderful things. Don't give up. As Paul's letter to Timothy said "fight the fight..."
Don't cry because it's over, smile because you were there.
