Small grayish sparrow-type bird at feeder - what type?

I've recently been seeing this bird at my window feeder, alongwith with Carolina Chickadees, Titmouses, Cardinals, etc. Can anyone please ID this bird? This photo was taken July 23 in my backyard in Austin, Texas. Thank you !!!!

Isn't the bill a little too large for that. Compare this photo with this photo.

Heres a lightened version of your photo:

I think the beak is open and has a seed in it; that's why it appears large.

My impression was a goldfinch as well -- the wings seem awfully dark compared to the rest of the body for it to be a house finch, and I think you can see a hint of yellow in the picture...

I lightened the picture with Photoshop and thought there was yellow (and I agree there is too much contrast bewteen the body and the wings for a housefinch), although this picture is from a Blackberry and very low resolution which makes it hard to work with. Perhaps the person who submitted it can tell us if the bird showed any yellow when she saw it.  That should solve the puzzle.
