it looks more like a brown thrasher

the spots on the belly, the length of the tail, and the apparent size all seem thrasherish

how big was it?

its hard to tell in the photo with noting to scale it with

i was also thinking of possibly a hermit thrush

I agree with, Brown Thrasher.

I can tell you one thing for sure, that's not a house wren. It does look like a thrasher.

It could be a juvenile Mockingbird, hard to tell though. It does look quite a bit like a Thrasher, but it is definitely not a House Wren.

Thanks. I don't even remember taking these pictures. I uploaded pics I had taken in the backyard the last couple of weeks and saw these and didn't know what it was. I have house wrens that frequent the top of the telephone pole and sing so I thought this might be one of them. Thanks again.
