Great image always nice to catch these great birds in flight . Did you sharpen this image ? or was it a big crop?

A little of both. I don't have much experience with photo editing software, and I finally had to breakdown and load the Kodak software.  I not been a big fan of the easyshare software, but I needed a way to crop photos so I could post them here without having to use the Hyperlink method. I use a Kodak Point and Shoot Z 712 IS, and it was on full zoom auto mode.  Here is the link to the original Image

When you say full zoom a assume you mean zoom  + digital Zoom as well if that is the case turn off the digital zoom don't use it editing software will do a much better job. I have a Kodak P850 IS as well as my canon 10D when you sharpened it you over sharpened just a little bit here is the same image I tried to clearthe halos (sharpening Halos) from around the bird and I cropped it a little more and cloned out the trees.

    Re: Long Legs

For me there is only one photo editor  Adobe photoshop   but it is expensive there is a lighter version of Adobe photoshop called  photoshop Elements  has many of the features of photoshop  as far as basic editing is concerned if you go to adobe.com you can download trials  but if you go to ebay you can get adobe photoshop CS4 the latest for around $200  to buy from adobe or retail outlets you pay the recommended retail price of $999    elements is worth $99  not sure how much you can get that for on ebay.
