    Chick-a-dee (Bad Light conditions)

    Attachment: CRW_3266.jpg

I shot this Chick-a-dee this morning the lighting was really bad the melting snow was acting like one big reflector and bouncing the sun in all directions these are the settings I used and the result I got.Post editing consisted of a levels adjustment, resizing, sharpening and color space change.  Canon 10D, Sigma 70-300mm DG lens, f6.3, 1/125 ss and ISO 100.

Very nice shot, kiwi.  What you call "Bad" pictures puts my "good" ones to shame!   I can tell that's a snow reflection on the bird.  Snow has it's own kind of light

valleygirl not so much a bad shot although it is abit soft but the light conditions where realy bad making taking the shot that much harder.
