    Talk about iBird 15

    Hi Gang

iBird 15 is in the store and its free.

I hope you all download and give it a review. You can download it over Edge and only takes about 2 minutes.

    Thanks for all your help.

    Re: Talk about iBird 15

I'm very sad that I cannot download iBird 15 on my first-generation iPod touch. Any plans on making it compatible? I'd like to "try before I buy" any of the more advanced apps, which all appear to be compatible with first-gen iPod touches. I suspect that the large number of 1-star ratings for the app are from users like me who want to try it but can't.

    Cheers!

I agree that it is unfortunate that this app is not available for users with the 1st gen iPod Touch. I hope this does not mean that future updates of my iBird North app will become incompatible. Also, if I had been able to download this free app, I would have then gone straight to the Pro app. Since that was a little pricey for something I could not test out, I bought the regional version, and now I am stuck with that untill an upgrade is available. Don't get me wrong iBird Northeast is a great app. I just wish I could have tested iBird with a free app on my device.

If you update your 1st generation iPod Touch to OS 2.2 iBird will work on it just fine.

You will be able to upgrade your version of iBird North to iBird Pro after we release the OS 3.0 update and you update your firmware to OS 3.0. I believe Apple will be charging for Touch people to upgrade to OS 3.0.

I just wanted to mention that I have OS 2.21 on my 1st gen. iPod Touch and when I tried to download iBird 15, I got a popup telling me that the app is only available for iPhones (I have gotten the same message for apps that are not available on 1st gen iPod Touches before). iBird North works just fine on my device, so it may only be the free app that is incompatible.

Dear Library Girrrl and other folks with Gen 1 iPod touches.

Crying I have to apologize for the issue with iBird 15 not working with the iPod touch Gen 1 devices. I made a mistake when setting it up for the app store. I have corrected it and by sometime tomorrow the app store should have registered the change and iBird 15 will work in any iPhone or iPod touch as long as its running the latest OS 2.2.1.

No problem. I'm glad we could help you figure that out. I will still download 15 even though I already have iBird NE, so I can write a nice review. Smile

Fantastic and thank you! It's installing RIGHT NOW.

I was hoping it was something as small as a mistaken setting and sure enough, it is. Can't wait to try it out and then figure out what version to go with from there...
