It had a red breast

    It had a red breast

I have a bird feeder in my backyard that I can see through my kitchen window. This morning I looked out and saw a black and white bird sitting on the ground because there was a larger bird (more common looking) inside the feeder. As it flew up to try to perch on the feeder, I noticed it had a red breast and then that there were two birds of the same kind. They were just perching on a wire, waiting for their turn and occassionally trying to get their share. The birds appeared to be white with black wings, also had some white in the wings but wasn't sure if that was just the feathers ruffled or not, and when they moved to give me a better look, they each had red breasts. The breast themselves were almost like a perfect upside down triangle. The birds were small, closer to the size of a Robin not of a Finch, and had white beaks. I've tried looking them up on the main page but think the red breast threw the search off a bit because it mainly suggested Woodpeckers and this is definately not a Woodpecker. Very beautiful bird, just wish I knew what it was.
