I agree that it is a Black-headed Grosbeak, but I do not think it is a male. There is, what I am fairly certain to be, a mating pair of Black-headed Grosbeaks that have visited the feeders in my back yard for the past two years. Johanna's Grosbeak is a dead ringer for what I believe to be the female of my mating pair.
