Curlybird:Wow - nice shot, lonestranger! I sure can tell the flight pics that were taken with a DSLR vs. P&S (with a few exceptions - if we P&S users get lucky at just the right time...)
Thanks Curlybird. Getting lucky at just the right time applies as much to DSLR users as it does to P&S users. Shooting in burst mode does increase the chances of a good one though. I could prove that theory with the dozens of pics I didn`t post from that shoot. 
Here`s one that I took a few weeks earlier. The hawk was sitting on the fence post and unfortunately it turned and flew away from me instead of toward me, but with the help of Picasa's, "I'm Feeling Lucky" quick editing feature, I ended up with a pic that isn't great but I kind of like anyways.
